Nike hole in the wall
Parents and athletes,
We have the opportunity to take some of the CHS XC team to a race in Lakewood, Washington! It is an awesome event with lots of runners and a great opportunity for our runners to see some out of state competition and an awesome event for kids to connect with other runners from other states. I’m wanting to get a good count on numbers and will nail down flights and all that once we have a group figured. I’ve put together a tentative schedule and pricing below. I’m going to contact Alaska airlines for a group rate. That way we are all on the same flight and I’ll make sure parents can use rewards if they want to. The van rental and the hotel cost split the cost between however many kids go.
The course is flat and fast and should be an awesome opportunity to run some great times! I do believe that running will take you anywhere in life and this time it may just be Washington state. Please email me if you are wanting to have your athletes participate. Include their full name and date of birth and your name and contact info. Then I’ll start getting all the details ready. It would be nice to have all confirmed athletes by Monday 9-23-25.
Thanks
Coach Shawn

Flight out Thursday evening 10/09/25
Return flight Sunday evening 10/12/25
Thursday: Land in Seattle. Take rental van to Lakewood, Washington and check into hotel.
Friday: Breakfast, course preview, drive north to Sedro Woolley and Western Washington University to see some of the area, then back to hotel.
Saturday: Race and awards! Head to Seattle to check into new hotel.
Sunday: Explore Seattle. Fly out later in the evening.
Flight estimate to Seattle- $400-450
Room- $100-150 per night but will be split depending on how many kids we have. Basically it will be 2-4 kids per room so the lodging price should be less than $100 a night
Team rental van. $500 for all 4 days split up between however many athletes we have.
I’d estimate cost of flight, lodging, and transportation at about $800-1500 per athlete. Depending on how man go.
Meals and personal items will need to be covered individually as well. The hotels should have breakfast so plan on eating out or grabbing groceries for other meals
